About Me and My Scentsy Story

When I began as a Scentsy Consultant I was a mum in a full time job. My partner introduced Scentsy to me after he had seen the products at work and loved them! He brought me a catalogue home and introduced me to the amazing scents and beautiful warmers - it didn’t take much to convince me to join. It started off as a hobby to earn some extra cash and I have never looked back. I chose to sell Scentsy around work and being a mother, whenever I want! I love the fact that I can earn money while having fun and meeting new people but Scentsy has done more than that - before I joined I was very shy and enclosed - Scentsy has given me the confidence to speak up and be myself, I could never of imagined myself talking to strangers about something I feel passionate about in the past, but here I am, and loving every second of it! I am extremely excited to be on this new venture with such an amazing, supportive team and to be part of Scentsy’s vision – to warm the heart, enliven the senses and inspire the soul.

What is Scentsy?

Scentsy began with a simple idea - a safe, wickless alternative to scented candles and quickly grew in to one of the most successful direct selling candle companies in the world. The concept was simple; to provide decorative ceramic warmers designed to melt scented wax with a heating element instead of a traditional wick and flame. Eight years later Scentsy has come to the UK! And bought with them successful product lines which are expanding at a remarkable pace.

How did Scentsy start?

The Scentsy journey began when entrepreneurs Heidi and Orville Thompson recognised the potential at a home show in early 2004 and purchased the company. It all started in a 40ft shipping container in Meridian, Idaho, USA on a sheep farm. Heidi and Orville where inspired when they realised the impact that different fragrances made - bringing emotions and memories to the surface – without the safety risks of a burning candle. That same year Scentsy was launched as a party-plan company. Scentsy continued to grow and expanded to the UK, Ireland and Germany in 2011.
